Your Legal Guide
Quick actions:
Every action AI Staff takes runs through ABA Model Rule checks and a per-step approval gate before it leaves your firm. This page surfaces the rules we check, how often each fires, and the events we audit -- updated daily, with no per-attorney data exposed.
Across competence, confidentiality, supervision, advertising, conflicts.
0 blocked outright; the rest surfaced for attorney review.
Notification dispatches recorded across 0 (event, channel) pairs.
Reviewed by a licensed attorney before the agent shipped to the marketplace.
Lawyers must provide competent representation -- legal knowledge, skill, thoroughness, and preparation reasonably necessary.
Citations look like they exist. The agent is flagged when it generates a case citation that doesn't match a known reporter pattern, so an attorney has a chance to verify before a brief goes out the door.
Lawyers must not reveal information relating to the representation of a client without informed consent.
Tool calls and assistant replies are scanned for SSN-shaped numbers, financial account numbers, and cross-matter references. The agent can't pass these to email/sms tools without the attorney explicitly approving.
Lawyers retain responsibility for nonlawyer assistance -- that includes AI agents acting on their behalf.
Every external action -- emails, SMS, calendar invites, document drafts -- runs through an approval gate by default. Attorneys see exactly what the agent intends to do before it leaves the building.

Every AI Staff run produces a per-step trace, every ABA rule violation persists with its matched text and the LLM judge's verdict, and every notification dispatch records its decision. Attorneys can issue read-only audit grants to outside counsel or auditors and generate a one-click bar-grievance export packet (a ZIP of run trace + violations + dispatches with a SHA-256 manifest) covering any date window.
Live for every active subscription. No per-attorney data is exposed without an explicit, time-bounded grant from that attorney.
Lawyers must not practice in a jurisdiction where they're not licensed, and must not assist others in doing so.
When the agent drafts content tied to a specific jurisdiction, we cross-reference the firm's licensure record. If the matter's state isn't on the attorney's bar admissions, the run flags for attorney review.
Communications about a lawyer's services must not be false or misleading.
The agent's outbound copy is scanned for bar-prohibited phrases ("guaranteed result", "specialist" without certification, etc.). State-specific rule packs add additional banned phrases for jurisdictions with stricter advertising rules.
Live solicitation of prospective clients -- in-person, telephone, real-time -- is restricted.
Outbound voice + SMS tools won't initiate a contact with a non-existing-client phone number unless the attorney has supplied prior-relationship metadata. DNC list lookup runs before every outbound call.
A lawyer must not represent a client if there's a concurrent conflict of interest.
Before any tool call that would commit the firm to a new contact, we run a conflict check against the firm's existing clients and adverse parties. Hits trigger attorney review before the action proceeds.
