By accessing or using LawSensai (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting.

2. Service Description

LawSensai provides:

• Smart Legal Documents: AI-powered generation of state-specific legal document templates
• Attorney Matching: Connection with licensed attorneys in our network
• AI Legal Q&A: Informational responses to general legal questions
• Compliance Tools: Business compliance monitoring and policy generation
• Case Intelligence: AI analysis and insights for legal matters

Criminal Defense Center: The Criminal Defense Center provides general, informational guidance about criminal matters and tools to help you track dates and connect with attorneys or public defenders. It does not provide legal advice, does not represent you, and is not a substitute for a licensed attorney.

EasySuit: EasySuit provides step-by-step informational help to respond to a civil matter or to prepare a demand letter or small-claims-style submission. EasySuit does not provide legal advice, does not represent you, and does not guarantee any particular outcome.

Family Law Center: The Family Law Center includes optional safety features (such as a quick-exit control and a reduced-visibility mode). These features are provided as a convenience and cannot guarantee your safety; if you are in danger, contact local emergency services.

Not Legal Advice: The information and documents provided by LawSensai are for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice. AI-generated content should be reviewed by a licensed attorney before use in legal matters.

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

You must create an account to access certain features. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your account information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
• Be responsible for all activities under your account

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.

4. Payment Terms

Fees and Billing

• Certain features require payment of fees as described on our pricing page
• Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis
• Fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated, including the 30-day money-back guarantee described under Refund Policy below
• We use Stripe for payment processing and do not store credit card information
• You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred

Refund Policy

30-day money-back guarantee on paid subscription plans. If you are not satisfied with a paid plan, you may request a refund of your first subscription payment within 30 days of the date that payment was charged. Approved refunds return the full amount of that first payment to the original payment method. The guarantee applies once per account and covers the first payment only; later renewal payments are not covered by it.

How to request a refund. Email support@lawsens.ai from the email address on the account, or use the contact form on our contact page, within the 30-day window. You do not need to give a reason. Refunds are processed to the original payment method and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

What the refund does and does not affect.Requesting a refund cancels the paid plan. Your account reverts to the free tier, and paid-tier features stop being available. Work you completed while subscribed remains yours, and we do not claw back matters or client relationships you took on during the period. Amounts you separately paid to an attorney, and fees charged by an attorney to their own clients, are governed by that attorney's engagement terms rather than this policy.

We also offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on Smart Legal Documents purchased directly through our platform, on the same request process described above. Except as stated in this section, fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify our fees at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price changes for subscription services.

5. Intellectual Property

Our Content

The Service, including all content, features, functionality, designs, logos, and trademarks, is owned by LawSensai and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

Your License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your personal or business use in accordance with these Terms.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, process, and display your User Content solely to provide the Service.

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the rights to use all User Content you submit
• Your User Content does not violate any third-party rights
• Your User Content does not contain illegal, harmful, or offensive material

You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately without notice if you violate these Terms or engage in prohibited conduct.

Upon termination:

• Your right to access and use the Service will cease
• We will delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy
• You remain responsible for any fees incurred before termination
• Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect

After your account is terminated, we handle your information as described in our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Where you enable automated features or agents, you remain responsible for reviewing their output and configuration.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules, except for disputes that may be brought in small claims court.

Class Action Waiver

You agree that disputes will be resolved on an individual basis only, and you waive any right to participate in class actions or class-wide arbitration.
