At LawSensai, protecting your privacy is fundamental to our mission. We believe you should always know what data we collect, how we use it, and how we keep it safe.
Depending on the products you use, we may collect additional categories of information you provide, including details about a criminal matter, a civil dispute, a family-law matter, or a personal-injury matter, and text we extract from documents you upload (using a document text-recognition service). We use this information to provide the relevant product to you.
You can use our assistant without an account. When you do, we place a random session identifier on your device (the sensai_anon cookie) so we can apply usage limits and measure overall usage. This identifier is not linked to your identity or any account, and anonymous conversations are not saved to an account. We also use your IP address to apply these usage limits.
When you are signed in, our in-product assistant (Copilot) can read and summarize information from your own account and matters to help you understand and manage them. The Copilot only accesses data you already have access to. Any action that changes your data or sends something on your behalf requires your explicit confirmation; the Copilot does not take such actions automatically.
Some general informational answers from our assistant are supported by references to LawSensai's own content and are checked for consistency with those sources. These answers are informational only and are not legal advice.
We implement industry-leading security measures to protect your personal information. Your data security is our top priority.
TLS 1.3 encryption for data in transit and AES-256 encryption for data at rest. Your information is protected at every step.
Multi-factor authentication, role-based access controls, and strict authentication requirements for all team members.
Continuous security monitoring, intrusion detection, and regular penetration testing by third-party experts.
SOC 2 Type II certified, GDPR compliant, CCPA compliant, and adherent to HIPAA standards for legal data.
You have comprehensive rights regarding your personal data. We make it easy to exercise these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@lawsens.ai or use the privacy controls in your account settings. We respond within 30 days.

We use third-party artificial-intelligence providers to power our assistant, document tools, and document text-recognition features. Depending on the feature you use, the text or files you submit may be processed by one or more of these providers, including Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI. These providers process this information on our behalf to return a result; they are subject to their own terms and privacy commitments. We do not sell your information to these providers.
If you choose to connect with an attorney or public defender through our service, we share relevant information about your matter with that professional so they can assess and assist with it. That professional is independent of LawSensai and handles your information under their own professional and legal obligations.
We retain your personal information only as long as necessary:
For privacy-related inquiries, data requests, or concerns about how we handle your information.
For GDPR-specific inquiries or to escalate privacy concerns.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. For significant changes, we'll also send you an email notification. We encourage you to review this policy regularly.
