When to use this template: Use when filing for a restaurant, café, food truck, or other food-service brand. Class 43 covers the services -- if you also sell branded merchandise (mugs, t-shirts) or packaged food, you'll want classes 25, 29, or 30 in addition.
# Trademark application: [BRAND NAME] ## Mark [BRAND NAME] -- [wordmark | standard character | stylized logo with [color claim if applicable]] ## Filing classes - **Class 43** (restaurant services) ## Goods / services description (Class 43) > Restaurant services; bar services; cafe services; catering services; providing food and drink for consumption on or off the premises. ## Specimen guidance - A photo of the storefront sign showing the mark. - A photo of the menu cover showing the mark. - A photo of takeout packaging showing the mark. Any of these works for Class 43. You only need one specimen per class. ## Filing basis - [ ] 1(a) -- in use in commerce (preferred -- restaurants almost always have an open location to specimen against) - [ ] 1(b) -- intent to use (use this if filing before grand opening; a Statement of Use will be due within 6 months of NoA) ## Notes - If you sell branded merchandise or packaged food, add classes: - **Class 25** for clothing (t-shirts, hats) - **Class 29** for prepared meat / dairy products - **Class 30** for prepared baked goods, sauces, coffee - The TEAS Plus filing requires verbatim ID Manual entries; the description above qualifies.
